In a new move for its Orlando operations, Hilton Worldwide said it will hire 70 part-time employees in Central Florida to work from home.
The employee would take calls at their home for Hilton reservations. A spokeswoman for the company said Virginia-based Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has done this in other cities but not in Central Florida.
The company hopes the positions will appeal to retirees, stay-at-home parents, students and others who want to make a little extra cash. The part-time positions don’t receive full-time benefits, but they do participate in the company’s 401k program, get some paid time off, and get discounts through Hilton’s employee travel program.
The company has a call center and multiple properties in the Orlando area.
Hiring began on June 1. Interested candidates can apply by visiting hiltonworldwide.com/careers.
The company says its virtual positions are popular among military spouses who appreciate the flexible schedule and opportunity to take the job with them if they need to relocate.
